Theory Three

The last common theory around the case of JonBenet is that someone who personally knew the Ramsey family committed the murder. The theorists believing this idea believe that the murderer was an outsider, but one that was known to the family personally. The $118,000 mentioned in the ransom notes has led some to speculate that John Ramsey's killer might have been a jealous coworker who knew the exact amount of his yearly bonus. There's speculation that Billy McReynolds, a Santa Claus impersonator who had been at the home a few days before committed the crime after he handed JonBenet a Christmas card that stated, "You will receive a very special gift after Christmas," which many people perceive as a threat.(Rahman)
